Life can take some unexpected turns and sometimes we need a help beside us to get through the tough times. With over 15 years of experience as a special education teacher and school counselor, Tracie has had the opportunity to help children with a variety of difficulties from personal/social to academic. Using an eclectic approach of play and sand tray therapy to creative expression, she has guided children to recognize the strength of character they possess and find the solutions they need to come to a positive solution to their challenges.
She has also used social skills and anger management training to help children figure out how to have more rewarding experiences with peers. Having and keeping friends are major goals of most children and difficulty in these areas can affect not only their peace of mind but their school work as well. Learning different ways to interact positively with others allows allows children, teens and young adults to move through their day with the confidence they need to build a good self-esteem.
Tracie also counsels teens and adults on a variety of issues. She is well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and uses a variety of techniques to meet her clients needs.
