Individual Counseling for Teenagers
It can be hard to tell when your teenage child needs help. The teenage years are a critical time in which young men and women begin to shift their self-conception from one based in a world of childhood to one based in adulthood. At this stage, teenagers begin to form their identity that will define them for a lifetime. Some teens need help and assistance when daily life struggles prevent them from living a fulfilling life.
During the teenage years, many parents find communicating with their teenage child a difficult task. As an advocate for teens, we believe in helping teens and parents discover and practice effective communication skills. The counseling relationship can also help strengthen the bond between parent and teen.
Counseling teens can help in the areas of:
- Eating Disorder/Body Image Issues
- Low Self-Esteem
- Depression/Anxiety
- Grief/Loss
