The journey toward healing begins with understanding and compassion—for ourselves and for others— and therapy can help guide you on your journey. With a longstanding career of over 15 years in the nonprofit and mental health field, Sarah has gained invaluable experience helping children, teens and adults to achieve their goals and improve their lives. Sarah has a Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW) and specializes in helping teens and adults navigate life's challenges with compassion and care. Sarah is trained in trauma-informed care and certified in neuropsychotherapy, which involves a deeper understanding of how the brain works to better address mental health issues. Whether you're a preteen or teenager dealing with depression, anxiety, or self-esteem issues, or an adult facing life transitions, relationship challenges, or the effects of trauma, Sarah is here to support you throughout your mental health journey. Sarah uses a collaborative and client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to meet your unique needs and goals.
Sarah's work often incorporates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and strengths-based strategies. All of these strategies are centered on helping clients build resilience, gain clarity, and develop healthy coping skills. Sarah strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore emotions, build confidence, and navigate the complexities of adolescence and adulthood.
In addition to individual therapy, Sarah is skilled in facilitating group therapy sessions with children, teens and adults, family sessions, and workshops on mental health education. Sarah is passionate about fostering resilience, improving coping skills, and helping clients build meaningful connections in their lives.
